Banana Bread Beer Heads to Korea

18th January 2010

Wells and Young’s Banana Bread Beer is being exported to Korea following a deal with a national distributor.

Korea is the latest country in the Far East that has turned its attention to traditional English beers, following an order for Bombardier from China.

Jim Robertson, head brewer at Wells and Young’s says: “Beer is most definitely one of the UK’s greatest exports – and to know that people from different cultures in countries thousands of miles away are enjoying traditionally brewed beers is great. We brew our beers right in the heart of England with 100% British ingredients, so exporting to different countries around the world, put the UK on the map as being expert brewers.”

Wells and Young’s exports one in every ten pints brewed to over 25 countries across the world and has won the Queen’s Award for Export in the past.
