Wells and Young's Gear Up for the Great British Beer Festival

29th July 2011

Nearly 10,000 pints of Wells and Young’s beer will be available at this year’s Great British Beer Festival (2-6 August), marking a record-breaking amount of beer at the GBBF from the brewery with an incredible eight Bedford-brewed cask beers available.

From the beer of Bedford, Wells Eagle, through to the ‘Bang on!’ Wells Bombardier, Wells and Young’s will be showcasing their Bedford brews at the UK’s largest beer festival.

“This is a big year for us at the GBBF,” says Paul Wells, chairman of Wells and Young’s Brewery. “We will have more beer than ever before and this really puts Bedford on the map on a national scale as the home of some of the UK’s best loved beers.

“As ever, the Routemaster Bombardier bus will be the centre piece of our stand at Earl’s Court, so we will be pretty hard to miss!”

The Great British Beer Festival runs from 2 to 6 August at Earl’s Court, London with 70,000 beer lovers expected to attend.

The beers available at the Wells and Young’s stand will be Wells Bombardier, Young’s Bitter, Wells Eagle, Young’s Special, Young’s London Gold, Courage Best and Courage Directors and Waggle Dance.
