Wells and Young's Appoints Karmarama

Advertising agency, Karmarama has been appointed by the UK’s largest private brewery, Wells and Young’s, as it prepares for another year of increased media investment across its ale portfolio.

Karmarama won the account following a pitch against undisclosed agencies.

W&Y marketing director, Chris Lewis, who made the appointment, said: “We are impressed with Karmarama’s strategic thinking & creative ability and look forward to working with them on some new exciting campaigns in 2011.”

Ben Bilboul, managing partner at Karmarama added: “We’re thrilled to be working with Wells and Young’s. They’re the sort of independent British business we should all be proud of, with a great portfolio of brands. We’re looking forward to helping them become even better known and loved.”

Wells and Young’s is a major player in the UK beer market, brewing, marketing and distributing some of the country’s most loved cask and bottled beers including Bombardier, Young’s and Courage.
