Bombardier Poster Campaign Triumphs in National Ad Awards

3rd April 2010

Bombardier’s highly acclaimed advertising has triumphed in a national awards winning ‘Best Poster Campaign’ in the Creative Circle Awards.

The adverts, which put Bombardier at the centre of everything that is positive about Englishness, were reviewed by 100 judges and deemed to be the best in their category.

Chris Lewis, marketing director for Wells and Young’s says: “The Bombardier creative has been recognised alongside work from international companies such as Cadbury’s and Volkswagen who are renowned for their iconic advertising.

“This award is great news for Bombardier, its stockists and the cask beer category as a whole. It demonstrates that cask beer is moving with the times and can create highly creative campaigns that really engage consumers. And the advertising is working. Sales of Bombardier show that the ‘Drink of England’ is out performing the cask beer market which in itself is the bets performing category in the beer market.” (Source: W&Y’s sales/BBPA, Jan 2010.)

The poster campaign, which includes three different designs, can currently be seen across England on thousands of bus stop poster sites. In the run up to St George’s Day (23 April), it is estimated that 90 per cent of ABC1 adults will see the advertising over 35 times.

Creative Circle is deemed to be one of the most important advertising judging bodies in the UK and only the highest quality advertising gets put forward to the judging process.
