Wells Bombardier English Premium Bitter

Wells Bombardier English Premium Bitter, uniquely positioned as England's Patron Pint, is set for a successful trading period. This award winning ale is brewered by Charles Wells of Bedford.
Although the Cask Ale market is currently in decline at -14%, Cask Wells Bombardier is the fastest growing Premium Cask Ale at +35.2%. Indications are that this highly individualistic beer will achieve record sales and listings over the coming months. J.D. Weatherspoons are listing Wells Bombardier English Premium Bitter across all of their 350 pubs during the St George's Day and easter period. Joining Weatherspoons in listing Wells Bombardier over this period are Unique Pub Company, Massive Pub Company and Pub Enterprises amongst others. Charles Wells have invested heavily into a targeted patriotic media campaign which utilises all disciplines. Wells Bombardier English Premium Bitter will be seen and heard via national TV, regional radio, internet activity, national trade media and also national newspaper advertising.

Wells Bombardier English Premium Bitter is the first national bitter brand to conduct national TV sponsorship. Wells Bombardier English Premium Bitter will have a national TV presence on Granada plus and Granada Men and Motors throughout the week leading up to St George's Day. Then on the 23rd April there will be a blitz of activity with all programmes being sponsored by Wells Bombardier. The anticipated impact reach of this advertising is over 3.1 million viewers

Running alongside this is a tongue in cheek regional radio campaign which covers the central area of England. The campaign features the voice of Stuart Hall.

Complimenting the broadcast and radio activity is the printed media campaigns for both trade and consumer publications. Both aspects continue with the award winning St George's cross mechanic featuring Wells Bombardier branding with tag lines such as 'St. George's Day. Make A Knight of It'. It is anticipated that over 13 million people will see to Wells Bombardier advertising during St. George's week.

Wells Bombardier English Premium Bitter has launched it's own patriotic website on www.bombardier.co.uk. Here the visitor will be able to browse through all the advertising formats, enter competitions to win beer and branded merchandise but most importantly they will be able to pledge their support for the Bank Holiday campaign which is currently being spearheaded by the brand.

As our neighbours in Ireland, Scotland and Wales all enjoy a bank holiday on their national day, Wells Bombardier English Premium Bitter and Charles Wells believe it is time the English recognised the 23rd of April as a national holiday. Visitors to the site will be encouraged to sign a petition which recommends changing the May Day bank holiday to St George's day. The Wells Bombardier website address will be featured on all advertising and it is anticipated that the site will achieve a large number of hits.

Wells Bombardier English Premium Bitter is a major success story for Charles Wells brewery and this is set to continue well into the future.
