Waggle Dance Return For 2007 From A New Home

Leading seasonal ale, Young’s Waggledance, is making a welcome return to the pump at the end of February, after its winter break. And this time, it will be brewed and sold from Bedford for the first time.

Waggledance, which is part of Wells and Young’s series of guest ales, has a very delicate flavour which derives from the sweetness of honey on the nose and palate, and balanced by hops to provide the bitterness.

The ale uses the finest ingredients which include English Fuggles and Goldings hops, the finest English Maris Otter and crystal malt, and the honey is from South America.

Waggledance’s quirky name derives from the dance bees perform to signify to other bees that nectar is present. “Waggledance is already well established in consumers’ minds as a speciality ale,” explains ale brand manager, George Wright. “The unusual name certainly encourages people to buy the ale, and the brand has been established as favourite in the off trade sector for over five years.”

The ale is easy to keep and serve and there is also the option of using sparklers and having a short or swan neck dispense to suit local tastes.
